The Big Trees of St. Joseph County is a cooperative program of St. Joseph County Parks, Purdue Extension of St. Joseph County, St. Joseph County SWCD, Rum Village Nature Center, and the University of Notre Dame Department of Biological Sciences. Champion trees are determined by a point value based on circumference, height, and crown spread. If you would like to nominate a tree please visit the St. Joseph County Parks site by clicking here to download a nomination form with measuring instructions. August 19th board meeting has been moved!!-  Due to a scheduling conflict, the monthly board meeting has been moved to Thursday, August 21st and 11:00 am and will be held at our office at 2903 Gary Drive, Plymouth, IN.

Interested in becoming an Indiana Master Naturalist? The St. Joseph County Parks will be holding the courses to become one. Check their website at sjcparks.org or click here to download the flyer! Deadline for signup is August 28th!!
