Events
The St. Joseph County SWCD hosts and attends various events throughout the year.
For upcoming dates, check our Calendar.
Here are some of our regular events and programs.
Environmental Education

We believe in extending conservation education to all ages and offer programs suited for schools, and other groups serving students, as well as seminars for adult groups.

See our Education page for a list of available programs or contact our Environmental Education Coordinator to see what would fit with your group.
Workshops & Field Days

Sometimes hands-on learning is the best way to really understand. Watch for workshops and demonstrations in topics such as rain barrels and rain gardens, soil health, cover crops, forestry and irrigation.
We also host events like producer's workshops to discuss current changes in modern agriculture, Weed Wrangles to help rid green spaces of invasive species, and Women's Learning Circles, with a focus on women in agriculture.
Annual Meeting
Celebrate with us!
Everyone is invited to a family style dinner while we celebrate our accomplishments from the previous year, hold our board supervisor election, and present annual awards.
Meet Your Farmer

Soil health and water quality effect everyone in the community. We have designed our Meet Your Farmer gatherings to bring together community members from any background to discuss how regenerative ag practices effect our soil and water and about how each of us can do things to improve our natural resources. Check out our Meet Your Farmer page for pictures and video from 2024!
